News Report

Use these tips below to help you write a news report. Think of something that happened at camp, school, sports practice, a sports game, or just make something up.
How are you going to plan? That is up to you. But remember I should be able to see evidence of planning. You might use a thinking map, a planner we have already used, or find a new one. It is up to you! Once planned I should see evidence of drafting, editing and proofreading.

Once you have published your report and it is on your blog put a link to it in the comment section below. That makes it easier for us to enjoy your report without having to go searching for it. If not finished in class time - complete for homework.

Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the world’s greatest living explorer and adventurer, is taking part in the world’s most extreme foot race  – the Marathon des Sables this April.
He will be attempting to run 156 miles (251km) over just 6 days in the blistering heat of the Moroccan Sahara Desert aiming to raise £2.5 million for Marie Curie to help people living with terminal illnesses and their families.
If he completes it he will be the oldest Briton, at 71 years old, to have completed the race.
The challenge takes place from April 3rd 2015 to April 13th 2015.
To follow Sir Ranulph’s challenge visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/ranulph or follow on twitter using #runRanrun. To donate to Sir Ranulph’s challenge visit www.justgiving.com/ranulph  or text RUN to 70007 to donate £5 plus a message of support to Sir Ranulph.

Do think about your story before you start to write. A plan can help make sure you get in all your ideas and that they make sense. When you have written it, ‘mumble’ read it to yourself to check that it says what you think it does!
Remember, once you have completed your 100WC and put on your blog you must put the link to your writing here in the comments and also submit it on the https://100wc.net/ website.

Wednesday 4 February 2015

Class Rules

As always we need rules to make sure we are in a safe environment, both physically and mentally. Not a bad list for the first day of the year. Now to simplify as there are a few to many to remember.

Welcome to 2015

Welcome to 8GMc for 2015. This year is going to be a fantastic year with lots of new learning and challenges to come. As you can see we are taking some time getting to know each other first and building our team work skills. One gender worked a whole lot better then the other - bet you can't guess which one?
